Mindful Dating is a modern dating app designed to foster meaningful and mindful relationships by shifting the focus from superficial swiping to genuine human connections. Unlike traditional dating apps, Mindful Dating promotes a thoughtful approach to matchmaking through interactive features, personality-based compatibility, and engaging communication tools.

Design & Development Process

The UX/UI design followed a structured human-centered approach.
  1. User Research & Discovery
  • Conducted user interviews with over 50 participants to understand pain points in existing dating apps.
  • Identified three core personas:
    • The Deep Connector (Values emotional intimacy & meaningful conversations)
    • The Balanced Explorer (Looking for mindful yet fun dating experiences)
    • The Social Butterfly (Seeks engaging interactions & new friendships)

Key insights:
💡 Users wanted a less superficial dating experience.
💡 Preference for video & voice-based interactions over text.
💡 Demand for better safety & privacy features.

 2. Information Architecture & Wireframing

  • Created a flowchart to map out user journeys.
  • Developed low-fidelity wireframes to test basic layout structures.
  • Iterated on navigation design to reduce cognitive load.

3.UI/UX Design

Typography: Work Sans for readability and elegance.
🔵 Color Palette: Soft pastels with an accent teal for a calm and inviting feel.
🎨 Visual Design: Minimalist, modern, and emotion-driven interfaces.
