About the Project

Consciously, a forward-thinking HR tech startup, approached us to redesign their internal HR Admin Dashboard. The existing interface was cluttered, hard to navigate, and lacked essential features that HR teams needed for efficient user and data management. Our goal was to craft a modern, streamlined platform that empowered HR users to manage teams, assessments, and user data effortlessly—while improving clarity, usability, and administrative control.

Work Scope

We were brought on to handle full-cycle UX and UI design for the new dashboard. This included stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, feature prioritization, wireframing, and designing a scalable component library.

The focus was on simplifying multi-step workflows like user imports, data filtering, and assessment tracking. We also introduced team-based permission structures and notification settings. The final product included high-fidelity mockups and design specifications for development.

Challenges

The original dashboard lacked intuitive navigation and overloaded users with information.  User management workflows were inconsistent and error-prone.  Lack of data filtering and role-based control made the experience inefficient for HR admins.

Style Guide

We created a modular design system with clear rules for components, buttons, tables, and alerts. The visual style reflected Consciously’s clean, minimal brand—professional, accessible, and consistent.

Our Solution

We restructured the dashboard into role-based views with clear navigation and contextual help.  Streamlined CSV imports, batch actions, and real-time filtering improved task efficiency.  We introduced secure sharing of reports via email and in-app PDF export, boosting usability and control.
